This is how you make a good and memorable soft remake/reboot with small changes that make me love the franchise even more. It just sucks that we never got a sequel after that end credits scene.
It\'s like Sam Raimi is testing new things with his trilogy. The first one was 90% horror and 10% comedy, the second one was 50% horror and 50% comedy, and then there\'s this one with 10% horror and 90% comedy. I love it. I find it really funny that we get a new Linda in every movie/TV show. If I had a nickel for every Linda we\'ve had, I\'d have four nickels.
This movie has everything that was missing from the first movie, and we didn\'t even know it: comedy. The balance between horror and comedy is perfect. These two genres don\'t always work well together, but when they do, we\'re in for a groovy time. And no one can replace Bruce Campbell as Ash. Bruce Campbell is the reason everybody loves Ash. If somebody ever replaces him in the future, I\'ll swallow your soul!
Okay, I’m not gonna lie, the \"my penis\" joke, the Cheerios joke and the goofy toy car scenes got me good, but everything else about this movie was either unfunny, disgusting, or just plain bad. Unlike the other four movies, this one didn\\\\\\\'t have any memorable characters. Instead of mostly making fun of horror movies, it spoofs popular movies from that era, so honestly, it should have been called Modern Movies instead.
I miss the old cast. Now it\'s mostly Anna Faris and Charlie Sheen, with only a sprinkle of Regina Hall, and you can really feel the difference while watching this one, but that\'s not necessarily a bad thing. Instead of parodying a specific franchise like Scary Movie with Scream or Scary Movie 2 with The Haunting, this movie feels more like a sitcom built around parody cameos, mixed with a lot of funny violence. That said, I\'ll give it credit for some creative comedic moments and for bringing in the legendary actor Leslie Nielsen.
Like I said in my Scary Movie 1 review, there\'s always a memorable character, and in this case it\'s Hanson and his strong/little hand. I also liked the parrot he was hella funny. And of course, the legend Tim Curry.
Disclosure Day would have been a massive hit in the early 2000s. Don\'t overthink the plot this movie is exactly what you think it is. Still, it kept me entertained the whole way through. By the end, it just confirmed what I had figured out almost right away.
This Hellboy is ugly, stupid, cringe, uncool and the whole movie is just stupid but its stupid fun and i will give credit that this movie had entertaining fight scenes, cool monsters and i love gore that this movie had plenty of but thats it and the CGI reminds me of van helsing (2004) and R.I.P.D (2013) but everything else about this movie is bad.
